Lunch: Manna From Heaven Restaurant (602 W Center St, Kyle, TX‎ - (512) 268-6900‎).

I had the envueltos (3 rolled chicken tacos topped with a creamy chicken gravy and lettuce and tomato served with rice and refried beans). They were mild, but fairly good. The gravy was quite tasty, but I wish I had ordered something crispy since I was listening to Tina eat her chalupas which were served on crispy corn tortillas. I also had a really good limeade.

Dinner: Phil's Ice House (5620 Burnet Rd, Austin, TX‎ - (512) 524-1212‎). Pretty good burgers. I'd say only the Counter and In-N-Out (where the burgers are different and so not directly comparable) are better.

I had the 78704 Burger (avocado, chipotle mayo, monterrey jack cheese, jalapenos, grilled onion on a toasted jalapeno cheese bun). The avocado wasn't spread evenly and I felt the burger (except for the many bites with jalapenos) was fairly mild in taste. The bun was also fairly sweet, so I'd suggest keeping that in mind when ordering here. I really liked the onion rings which reminded me of those served at the Counter. The only thing missing were the Counter's amazing dipping sauces.

Tina had the Mini-Burger Sampler Basket with fries (sweet potato mixed with regular). The burgers were the Crestview (chili cheeseburger, cheddar cheese, sliced onion and mustard on a toasted jalapeno cheese bun), Rosedale (cheddar mesquite burger with sliced onion, pickles, cheddar, cheese and sweet mesquite BBQ sauce on a toasted sourdough bun), and Violet Crown (a bleu cheese burger with bleu cheese and grilled onion on a toasted jalapeno cheese bun). We liked the flavors of the Crestview the best (and will probably order this burger in the future). The Violet Crown could have been a little better if the bleu cheese was stronger flavored (we could barely taste it). The regular fries are a bit bland (reminded me a bit of Burger King's reconstituted potato fries) but the sweet potato fries are quite good (similar to the Counter's).
