Dinner: Before going to a comedy show headlined by Iliza Shlesinger, we had dinner at nearby Pappasito's Cantina (6513 N I H 35, Austin, TX‎ - (512) 459-9214‎). We started by sharing three tamales (two pork and one chile chicken) which I enjoyed. I thought there could have been a little more corn/masa but overall it had great texture and decent flavor.

Tina had the Mexico City Chicken and Rice Soup which was too salty and tasted like the soup was made from a bouillon cube. We sent it back.

I had the fish tacos with grilled fish. (I was thinking of going with the fried fish since at many restaurants the grilled fish can very bland, but our waitress said most people order it with grilled. She hadn't had the fish tacos before, so I couldn't clear up whether or not people ordered grilled fish due to a perception of healthfulness or because they tasted better.) The fish was bland.

Because we didn't eat much of our dinner, we ordered a dessert of chocolate capirotada. This bread pudding looked like a giant chocolate muffin and tasted like a clumpy brownie. I really couldn't tell if it was a real bread pudding or just a chocolate muffin served with vanilla ice cream. It was pretty good, but incredibly rich and heavy. Together, we only ate a little more than half before we had to call it quits.

Lunch: We split a leftover Italian Combo sandwich that I picked up yesterday from Panera Bread.
