  • what do you like to use as dipping sauces for the hot pot?

  • Chinese Hot Pot is so delicious! I also like throwing in some Japanese shabu shabu meat for an added touch.

  • We like to use Sa Cha Sauce (mixed with soy sauce and a raw egg) as a dipping sauce.

The broth we started off with was just chicken broth (a can of Swanson's) and water. After everything is cooked, it takes on quite a bit of the flavors of the shrimp, fish balls, meatballs, and mushrooms.

I usually will briefly blanch some thinly sliced ribeye (just until pink), but I didn't have any yesterday.
