The day after Thanksgiving is the US's traditional leftovers eating day, so that's what we did. For lunch we had the remaining tuna salad, corn bread, and bowls of chicken soup.

Dinner was most of the leftover chicken with rice, sauteed spinach and some peanuts my mom had soaked in salt and baking soda and boiled until soft (and tasty) with rice.

  • Love the peanuts…never heard of cooked peanuts but it sounds very interesting. How long does your Mom soak the peanuts?
By the way - maybe you could post the recipe for your favourite "Mamma - food" one day??

    PS
I have a new kitchen now too - and it s absolutly wonderfull. Especially the Miele Steamer! So much fun to cock with it. I am experimenting a lot right now and most things come out fine.
