What I Ate: November 8, 2009 (Hill-Bert's Burgers, Steak 'n Shake)
Posted 8 November, 2009 at 8:37pm by Michael Chu(Filed under: Food, What I Ate)
Dinner: Steak 'n Shake for dinner - I got a Guacamole Steakburger with Bacon. Instead of fries, I decided on trying their Beef Vegetable Soup (which was a bit too salty). After, we ended up getting some fries anyway.

Lunch: We grabbed some food from a random place while shopping for furniture - Hill-Bert's Burgers (7211 Burnet Rd, Austin, TX - (512) 452-2317) where I got a Fish Sandwich. I really didn't like it - the cheese that was melted on was a little sour (Krafts Singles and some other American cheese brands do this, but somehow the American cheese that McDonald's uses doesn't get sour when you melt it) and the relish used in the tartar sauce was also a bit too tart. I really didn't enjoy the next ocuple hours where every burp reminded me that I had that fish sandwich. Tina had the Popcorn Chicken and it wasn't what we expected - she got four chicken nugget sized pieces of chicken with some fries and pickles.

What is that orange stuff oozing off the side of your burger? Is that cheese?

No, it's a chipotle sauce. I think it tasted like a spicy Russian dressing - worked well with the burger.
