Dinner: Tina and I tried several tacos from Torchy's Tacos (2801 Guadalupe St, Austin, TX‎ - (512) 494-8226‎) in the UT area for dinner. Most were pretty good, but our favorite was the Green Chili Pork Taco followed by the Trailer Park Taco.

Green Chili Pork Taco Roasted pork carnitas, green chilis, queso fresco, cilantro, onions, lime, green sauce ($3.25)

Trailer Park Fried chicken, green chilis, lettuce, cheese, pico ($3.25) I got mine "Trashy" which meant no lettuce and with queso. I think next time I'll try it without the queso and with the lettuce. The fried chicken strips were really soft and tender.

Baja Shrimp Batter fried shrimp, cooked cabbage, queso fresco, cilantro, pickled onions and jalapenos, lime, creamy chipotle ($4.00) This was a tad too acidic for our taste.

Brushfire Jamaican jerk chicken, mango, grilled jalapenos, cilantro, sour cream, diablo sauce ($3.75) The chicken was a bit bland to my taste - I've had some excellent jerk chicken before and this barely hinted at it. I liked the spiciness of the sauce (which was ultra-hot) with the mango and the chicken, but wished the chicken was a bit more flavored.

Fried Avocado Taco Fresh fried avocados, lettuce, pico, cheese, vegetarian refried beans, poblano ranch ($3.25) This tasted like a basic bean burrito with cheese and an occasional taste of avocado. The fried surface did add a little crispiness, but overall I didn't like it as much as the other tacos.

The Democrat Shredded beef barbacoa, onion, queso fresco, avocado, cilantro, green sauce ($3.75) A bit too much greasiness and saltiness in the barbacoa.

Lunch: Tina whipped up a stir-fry udon dish (with red bell peppers, cabbage, and Chinese sausage) for lunch.
