Lunch: I ate left over Salisbury steak with rice, spinach, and an avocado half.

Dinner: Tina braised a whole trout in a soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, and black bean chili sauce (there's more stuff in there, but I'm too lazy to list it all).

We each ate half the trout with white rice and napa cabbage with diced ham.

  • Salisbury steak from the farm you visited a few days ago?

  • Whoa, that's _WAY_ too much sauce on that fish for my tastes. But given the ingredients, I'm sure it was tasty nevertheless ;)

Tina Jiang, July 10th, 2009 at 2:25 pm:

  • It did seem like too much sauce at first, but the fish itself was bland (the flavors didn't go into the flesh) so we dipped each bite of fish in the sauce and in the end there was not too much sauce left :).

  • Yep, the Salisbury steak was leftovers from the patties I made from the beef we got from Coyote Creek Farm.
