Lunch: A sandwich of smoked brisket (from my neighbors Cody and Katy, thanks guys!) and an egg cooked over medium on ciabatta bread. I also had a large salad of fresh arugula.

Dinner: More beef: a rib eye steak with savoy cabbage.

  • Was it homemade brisket?

Michael Chu, June 5th, 2009 at 8:40 am:

  • Yep, our neighbors made it over the weekend. I think they said they smoked it from 3pm to 2am.

  • *laughs* That seems odd. Did they put it in after lunch, then wake-up at 2:00AM to let out the whining dog and decide "eh, that's long enough."?

  • I think Cody mentioned the fire went out at some point he had to get it started again in the evening and just stayed up to tend it until it was done to his satisfaction.

  • I notice a pattern of making your sandwiches "royal"…

Michael Chu, June 20th, 2009 at 1:20 am:

  • Of course! :)

  • Ever since The Counter, I have, too. :)
