What I Ate: March 9, 2008 (Erik's DeliCafe)

For lunch, Tina and I went to Erik's DeliCafe. Due to an alfalfa sprout recall, they weren't serving any sprouts on their sandwiches and were using lettuce. I opted for a bread bowl of clam chowder for lunch. (Tina went with the sandwich and found it unsatisfying.)

For dinner, I decided to treat myself. I refilled my propane tank (been empty for months so I haven't done any grilling - charcoal produces too many embers for me to use without concern in my covered patio) and we walked to the local grocery store - which we found closed. Not just closed - but the insides were completely torn down. Looks like it's going to be a Korean supermarket in a month or so.

I drove to Whole Foods and bought myself a dry aged rib eye steak and a small container of potato salad. I then picked up a bag of lettuce mix from Lucky and mixed it with some of the salad dressing that I had been experimenting with in the fridge. Grilled the steak and ate it blue.
